Today, we mark the passing of an end of an era.Ed McMahon has died. Many call him an entertainer, many
call him a spokesman, but he was just a happy guy that used to pitch things. While I never watched "The Tonight Show" in any incarnation (except when Pet Shop Boys were on, natch!)
I guess I'll never have him come to my door with a big check from Publisher's Clearing House or try out one of those fancy senior bathtubs he used to hawk.
But hey, he had a long career, a family, and even a song.
There is hope for you after all, Ryan Seacrest.
